Brazilian Butt Lift
Concern
More and more women and men have the desire to have a more pronounced buttocks. The Brazilian Butt Lift is an augmentation of the buttocks with fat that has previously been harvested from an area of the patient’s body that has excess fat.

Treatment
Under general or spinal anesthesia, the patient’s own fat cells are first harvested by a Water Jet Assisted Lipo-suction of the waist, back and, if desired the belly and then after a filtration process re-injected into the buttocks. In order to achieve a significant increase in buttocks size, a large amount of fat must be removed from other parts of the body where excess fat is stored. It is possible to safely deposit up to 1000cc or more in the Butt cheeks, if the patient has enough fat around the waist. This procedure may have to be repeated until the desired size is achieved. With modern methods of fat refinement and filtration and a subtle re-injection technique, 70 to 80% of the re-injected fat will remain.

Buttocks Implants
Concern
Those patients who desire a more pronounced buttocks but do not have enough fat tissue to augment it will need a Gluteal implant. These implants are placed in the gluteal muscle to avoid misplacement and guarantee a natural appearance.
Treatment
Under regional or general anesthesia, a Silicone Implant is introduced into the gluteal muscle from the mid-line. This procedure will also provide filling for excess skin and redistribute subcutaneous tissue to areas where more fullness is needed. In cases where more projection of the hip is needed the implants can be placed in a slightly slant way to augment the sides of the buttocks.
